Reform named ‘Best Restaurant’ in Lincolnshire
February 09, 2012
We are delighted to announce that Reform has been named ‘Best Restaurant’ for 2011/12 in the Taste of Excellence Awards published by Lincolnshire Life. Taste of Excellence aims to promote the county’s exceptional food and drink industry and it’s awards reward those who have reached the highest culinary standards.
We saw off competition from across the county, as readers of Lincolnshire Life and restaurant diners were invited to nominate their favourite places to eat. Reform was one of the three restaurants with the highest number of reader and visiting diner nominations, and was chosen by the judging panel as the overall winner, following an anonymous visit.
Each finalist is judged on the quality of the food, the choices on the menu, the ambience and decor of the building and the friendliness and knowledge of the staff, they are also judged on the use of locality sourced produce.
In the closely contested category ‘House of Townend Best Restaurant’, the judges commented that the quality of the menu and food had been the key deciding factor:
“The choices made were delicious, well-defined and full-flavoured, all with a certain something extra which lifted the dish.”
We would like to thank restaurant visitors for nominating us for the award and hope it’s the first of many. To win such a prestigious award against the best restaurants in the whole county in our first year of trading is a fantastic achievement. We won’t be resting on our laurels and will continue to deliver highly innovative, delicious dishes, packed with the freshest seasonal and local ingredients, all served in a relaxed yet decedent environment.
